What is an Affiliate?

Albright College has selected the following study abroad and domestic programs as affiliates. An affiliate is a highly recommended program and provides valuable educational programs and cultural experiences to participating students. Studying with an affiliate provides an Albright College student access to affiliate-sponsored financial aid and other perks unavailable to non-affiliated students.

American Institute for Foreign Study (AIFS): AIFS provides quality study abroad programs for an academic year, a semester or a summer in locations in Europe, Africa and Australia. They also offer an internship with a world-class company in London or Amsterdam.

American Intercontinental University (AIU): Begun in 1989 AIU's study abroad program has developed a strong reputation for its personal approach to international study. With programs in London, England, Paris, France, Florence/Tuscany, Italy and Dubai, UAE you can broaden your knowledge, widen your circle of friends and expand your appreciation of foreign culture in some of the world's most dynamic cities.

Arcadia University: The Arcadia University Center for Education abroad offers more than 100 fully accredited undergraduate programs in 14 countries, as well as internships, field research, and service learning opportunities, for a semester, summer, or academic year. Explore New Zealand, Australia, China, India, France, Italy, Spain, Greece, England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, South Africa and Tanzania!

The Center for Cross-Cultural Study: This program is specifically geared towards students who are interested in studying the Spanish language. Centered in historic Seville, Spain, this program offers a unique educational experience. It offers semester, academic year, January and Summer programs. You can choose your courses from a broad curriculum concentrating in a wide variety of disciplines, especially the Spanish language, and you will receive personalized attention as you seek your goals. You will have access to computer rooms, a library, student lounges, e-mail room, and study rooms. Your home stay will be the center of your social experience.

Center for International Studies:  For more than a decade, CIS, the Center for International Studies, has been providing safe, challenging, life-changing experiences.  Programs are available in Australia, China, Costa Rica, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Scotland and Spain. 

Cultural Experiences Abroad: Cultural Experiences Abroad (CEA) provides study abroad programs in Spain, France, Italy, Argentina, Mexico, Costa Rica, England, Ireland, and Australia for thousands of U.S. and Canadian college students from over 900 universities. Study Spanish, French or Italian abroad, or choose from a wide variety of English-instructed programs all over the world while you study abroad on a semester, trimester, year, summer, or short-term program.

The Dublin Business School: Despite its name, is equivalent to a liberal arts college in the United States, offering a wide range of arts & science and business courses. Located in Dublin, Ireland's capital city, DBS offers internships and the option of living with an Irish family to gain a full cultural experience.

Interstudy: For 26 years interstudy has been placing students from all over North America on integrated study abroad programs in South Africa, Ireland and Britain. Interstudy boasts a deliberately small staff so that students don't get lost in the shuffle. The interstudy mantra is 'big enough to rely on and small enough to care'. Interstudy students are immersed in the culture and lifestyle of the country in which they choose to study and study the same courses, with the same faculty, as degree-seeking students from the host country.

Ithaca College: The "Walkabout Down Under" is a unique Australian adventure with an opportunity to study at three different universities in three very different regions of this country - island - continent nearly as large as the United States. The London Center program provides educational, cultural and social access to one of the world's greatest capital cities. Both programs offer scholarships for students from affiliated colleges.

The Northern Ireland Exchange Program: The aim of the program is to provide Irish students with an external perspective through a yearlong placement in a college/university in the United States and for Albright Students to have the equal opportunity to study in Northern Ireland for the same amount of time. The host schools in Ireland are: Belfast Institute for Further and Higher Education, Queen's University in Belfast or the University of Ulster.

The Philadelphia Center: This program is an experiential education program, which provides opportunities for professional exploration, intellectual development, and personal growth. This accredited program features over 800 field placements, unique seminars, and independent living in the exciting urban setting of Philadelphia, PA. As an intern, you will work four days a week in a well-supervised, unpaid position for academic credit.

The School for Field Studies: This program offers areas of study and research in several locations around the globe: Kenya, Africa; Baja, Mexico; Costa Rica, British Colombia, Turks, and Caicos, Australia. At these locations, you will be living at a field station and will be assisting real scientists engaged in active field research. You will also have the opportunity to aid a community by working on environmental issues to support them.

Victoria University is located in Melbourne, Australia and offers a full range of academic study abroad programs. Their music and entertainment industry studies can be a popular destination for our music business students.

The Washington Center: Many college students who seek to enhance their international experiences consider Washington as the perfect place to polish their language skills, meet international visitors, and experience the sights, sounds and customs of other nations, while gaining academic credit through their home institution. The Washington Center can provide all of this for you. The center is a nonprofit organization that provides students with internship opportunities as well as academic seminars.
